We have carefully chosen a hotel, Hawaii Island Retreat's eco-boutique hotel and wellness spa, as a place of intentional peacefulness, set among towering evergreens and ocean breezes along Hawaii Island's North Kohala coast. Day 1:  Coming Home to Ourselves

After some yummy yoga and a peaceful meditation in the balmy winds of Hawaii, we'll assess where you're at right now, e.g., on a scale of 1 to 10, how energized are you feeling? What is and isn't working in your life? What do you most want? We’ll let our heart and mind speak to us through a series of guided exercises. 

Afternoon: Art of Self-Care Ritual #1

Day 2:  Caring For Ourselves

Using creative and time-tested activities, we’ll help you take stock of your current care activities and give you the secret to building revitalizing practices into your daily life, including exercising, conscious breathing or healthy eating.

Day 3:  Examining Our Inner Dialog 

We’ll uncover how we talk to ourselves, to make sure that we aren’t the demanding ones. While this might seem like a scary step, it is going through this process that we uncover the power of our own internal self-dialog, and ensure that it is supporting our highest good.

Day 4: Our Aspirations, Our Legacy

What do you want to do in the world? What’s your place in the world? We’ll answer those questions today, working with your belief systems and values as it relates to work, family, career, spirituality and your life goals. We'll create a map that leads us towards our goals.

Day 5: Supporting Our Journey Forward

We’ll talk about how we bring all the insights and resources that we learned during the week back home and integrate them into our life. We’ll discuss the support systems you can use to keep on track with your new self-care rituals.  

The Art of Self-Care Retreat will be held in a loving and nourishing hotel, with plenty of time for rest, swims at the beach, yoga, massages and time for doing what you know feeds you. We are intentionally creating a structure that is restful, so that you can get to know your own rhythms and better understand what your body needs.

Brianna Jarboe, a local Hawaiian resident and yoga practitioner for over a decade, believes that self-love is the foundation for a balanced and fulfilling life. Her goal is to educate people to integrate wellness & beauty into their lives on a daily basis.

Brianna is a 200hr yoga instructor, a Sacred Yoga prenatal instructor, a doula, a hairstylist, and an Aveda educator. She brings years of experience of being guided in and teaching classes on well-being, loving & honoring your Sacred Self & Ayurveda. She loves teaching workshops & continues to share her knowledge with her clients & students.

Balancing four careers, a personal life, a social life and maintaining a healthy, grounded, flourishing life can be tricky. Brianna's key is self love on a daily basis. She cultivates this in herself and others by practicing mindfulness, honoring feelings, and using affirmations, meditation, yoga, and connecting with nature & self-care rituals. Brianna looks forward to sharing these practices with you so that you may have a healthy, grounded, flourishing life filled with love!

Allison Quaid brings passion and expertise for helping others unlock how to live a balanced life applying 20 years of experience as a workshop and creative healing arts facilitator, Reiki healer, and storyteller. It is through her journey as a corporate executive that she learned the physical consequences of not listening to what you need. She was forced to slow down and re-evaluate her own life, and as a result, created a structured process for giving oneself permission to accept one's needs and ensure they are met. She practices what she preaches by meeting her own needs through creative writing, yoga, and spending time in nature. She believes that we all deserve inner peace, and knows the keys lie in our heart, head and hands. She also loves Hawaii and is happy to share a wonderfully inspiring location with you! Weather and Travel

Get ready to relax in warmth. At Kona, the temperature range is 73ºF - 87ºF. Dress is casual and comfortable.  

The closest airport is Kona, Hawaii. A month prior to the workshop, we will send out a list of the workshop participants who are interested in carpooling to the hotel site. No car is needed during the week.
